Riverside, CA – ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to announce a company-wide level of support for a team of exceptional off-road motorsports athletes for 2016. ICON’s involvement at the top tier levels of LOORRS and Ultra 4 competition is an excellent way for the company to push the limits of its products and put them to the ultimate test. These drivers and teams are utilizing the same parts and technology that can be found in ICON’s “off the shelf” products, which helps ICON engineers accelerate testing and allows for continuous product improvement based on the successes found on the race track. ICON will be on-site at several of the LOORRS and Ultra4 races throughout 2016, so be sure to follow our drivers and look for Team ICON at an event near you!

JEREMY MCGRATH / LOORRS PRO 2 / #2

7-time AMA supercross champion turned short course off-road racer, Jeremy McGrath, is the latest athlete to join the Team ICON lineup. With multiple podium finishes in the 2015 LOORRS season, Jeremy and the JM2 team are on the hunt for a championship in 2016. Early test sessions with McGrath and ICON engineer Dylan Evans have been very successful, and “MC” is very excited to pilot the ICON-equipped Pro 2 in 2016.

With an impressive Trophy Kart record already under his belt of 40+ wins and 90+ podiums, Brock Heger has a bright future ahead in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. This young man is determined to leave his mark on short course off-road competition, and will not back down until that goal is met. In 2014 Brock raced the LOORRS Modified Kart season while also competing in the Southern California and Arizona Lucas Oil Off Road Regional series in his Pro Lite truck. Thanks to some natural talent and a load of determination Brock won his Modified Kart title and took the Pro Lite Championships in both regional series at the same time. Eric Barron is a well-versed competitor who has seen success in several forms of racing. Growing up, Barron won races and championships in BMX, motocross, and karting competition. As time rolled on Eric immersed himself in dirt track and road racing for a few years until short course off-road made its way to the western US. This form of motorsport caught Barron’s attention and after a short time he built his first Pro 4 to compete at the top level of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Since then Eric has secured 7 race wins, multiple podium finishes, and is looking to make 2016 a winning year in the ICON-equipped #32 Pro 4.

Tom Wayes is an Alaskan backcountry heli ski guide, off-road racecar driver, and all-around adrenaline junkie who has found great success in being anything but average. With a larger-than-life personality, Tom thrives in situations that make others shrink in fear. Whether it’s barreling down the face of some of the biggest mountains in Alaska strapped into his skis or taming some of the most unforgiving terrain in the country in his LS7 powered Ultra4 car, Wayes has no issue with pushing the envelope.
